Meet The Team

Programme Manager - Claire Bigley

As Programme Manager my role is to bring together all the many aspects of the Spareparts project and ensure that at every step our community’s, partners and audience’s experience is considered. The role is developmental, allowing creativity and strategy to work side-by-side.

There’s no greater feeling then seeing people engage with the arts, on their doorstep, connecting with an artist or art and for a time being lost in their imagination.

Artistic Director - Jodie Gibson

I’m a Freelance Creative with a keen interest in outdoor arts, social change, collaboration, individual & collective empowerment. A perfect blend for the job as Artistic Director with SpareParts.

I’m inspired by the founding idea behind SpareParts, that transport, heritage, science festivals and arts-festivals can blend together to create an imaginative programme; enhancing the audience experience, whilst offering people from different interest groups, an opportunity to come together in a shared moment.

Production Manager - Alice Lapworth

Alice Lapworth is a Theatre and Movement Maker based in the north-west. For the past 5 years, Alice has been producing theatre through her creative and production roles.

She has extensive experience producing, project and stage managing a variety of projects. This includes Stealing Sheep’s Suffragette Tribute summer tour 2018, a.P.A.t.T’s site-specific performance installation at Sound City 2017, Hope Street Ltd’s On The Verge Festival 2017 and large-scale community focused production Climate Change is Rubbish 2019. Under her partnership, Wives’ Tales, Alice has managed performance festivals, large-scale productions and music videos.

Alice also co-owns RAWD, a company dedicated to helping disabled people grow within the arts. As well as managing the company, she produces and manages the extensive productions and commissions the company creates.
