Inspired by stories of wreckers, rescues, and undrownable sailors from the coastlines of Wales, “Shipwrecks – Receivers of The Wreck” is a post-industrial world of broken ships, scavenging, and survival where long-abandoned nets are trapping the stories and messages of those lost at sea.

This is a highly physical show combining circus with dance and drama to tell a universal story of our desire for solitude against the need for collective action for the greater good.

“Whilst Shipwrecks features an international cast of performers the show’s Director, James, first discovered his passion for performing arts when he lived in the N West in the 90’s. He started learning circus with Skylight Circus in Rochdale and worked with Salford’s Walk The Plank before going away to train at circus schools in London and Paris.”
