Originally working as an Engineer at what was then Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, I decided at the age of 28 to leave and pursue a more creative direction, returning to further education studying Technical Illustration and then Medical Illustration and Graphic Design at University.
I then worked as a freelance illustrator, a graphic designer and Head of Design and Production for two publishing companies but have now returned to purely freelance work, having illustrations published in printed matter ranging from angling books to dental journals and designing everything from logos for SMEs to 8 metres long exhibition stands for major companies.
I have found it really motivating and invigorating working with Minerva on this project. The team combines a wide age range, with different life experiences, outlooks and viewpoints on this project and life in general. I’m sure this will lead to us producing a rounded, complete and ‘composite’ end-product that will fully satisfy the brief, whilst helping us all gain knowledge and understanding of each others’ differing perspectives and ideas.
